Baan Report Flow
Besides creating output formats / layouts for printing, Baan Report is also Data transformation program. Though the data transformation is disk based , it can create and get most of the summary analytical information .The users can use the power of highly scalable Baan Reporting, by thoroughly understanding the same and putting the same to use along with Data extraction and transformation tools like ERPJewels. So in order to maximize the benefits from Baan report's data transformation capabilities, it's imperative that user understand the Baan Reporting structure thoroughly.
Technically Baan report program is a separate program different from Baan program scripts. It takes as input from Baan program script in the form of report input variables at the time of rprt_Send() / brp.ready(). These report input variables must be declared extern in the program script. Further the programmer must understand the values of all report input variables at the time of rprt_send / brp.ready in order to get accurate results.
